Abstract: I will introduce the on-line patent information search system in the web site of the Malaysian Patent Office at this time. This site is displayed in English and it is therefore easier to use than sites in the non-English bloc. Bibliographic information, abstracts, and the present simple legal status (life or death) are available free of charge. However, claims cannot be confirmed unless publications are downloaded (Registration is required and it is not free of charge). History data on examination and trial, annual fees, division, information regarding transfer of rights, etc. are unavailable from this site. However, gazettes, patent statistical data, annual reports, etc. are available.
