Abstract: Information and documentation are regarded as more important in Korea compared with Japan and there is a tendency for information or documentation oriented information-systems, not system oriented, to be constructed. In this country, Korea Knowledge Portal is constructed in order to retrieve Web resources concerning the country. And also Web archiving is performed in order to preserve and utilize such resources based on the legal deposit system of digital resources. As for the former, there appear to be few problems, but as for the latter, there seem to exist several problems, for example, social ones.
